Configure the HPE Smart Array Controller

Please perform the following steps to configure HPE Smart Array Controller.

  1. Boot the server and continuously press F10 to enter Intelligent provisioning.

  1. Open the HPE Smart Array Controller.

  1. Select a controller that is compatible with secure encryption.

  1. Click on Configure.

Smart Array Administrator

  1. Go to “Tools” and click on “Encryption Manager” to open it.

    1. Create a new crypto officer password.

    2. Perform the initial setup.

    3. Perform the full setup.

    4. Enter a crypto/security officer password.

    5. Enable and disallow future plaintext volumes (Recommended).

Please make sure that crypto/security officer are admins for Secure Encryption and must be trusted employees.
