Create a Failover Cluster

  1. Log in to cluster node as a user with Administrative privileges where disk is attached.

  2. Open Server Manager, Select Tools, and select Failover Cluster Manager.

  1. From the Actions menu, click Create a Cluster.

  1. On the Before You Begin page, click Next.

  1. Enter the first cluster node name in the Enter Server Name field and click Add.

  2. Enter the second cluster node name in the Enter Server Name field and click Add.

  3. Click Next.

  4. Enter the Cluster Name and click Next until you reach the Summary page.

  5. To perform the validation tests, choose Yes and click Next two times.

  6. Keep the default option to Run all tests and click Next two times.

  7. Verify the test report and click Finish.

  8. Provide the cluster name and click Next until you reach the Summary page.

  1. Verify the cluster got configured successfully. Check the status of both nodes, disk, and network. It should be in green.
