Introduction

About This Guide

This guide has been created to provide guidance for using Aventra’s Active Process Manager efficiently with Utimaco’s SecurityServer General Purpose HSMs.

Target Audience

This guide is intended for users and administrators of Aventra Active Process Manager (APM) and Utimaco Hardware Security Modules (HSM).

Purpose of the Integration

By integrating APM with Utimaco HSMs, it is possible to configure cryptographic operations and key management tasks by creating APM solutions using APM’s visual solution editor, run the solutions, and integrate the workflows with other integrated systems. APM extends the abilities of the GUI tools provided by Utimaco and makes it easier to set up HSM-related workflows which traditionally have required complex command line scripting or custom-made software.
