Create the External Key Management Vault in OCI

  1. In the OCI Console, go to Identity & Security → External Key Management.

  2. Click Create Vault.

Create External Key Management Vault

  1. Enter the Vault name:

    <EKMS_VAULT_NAME>

  2. Select the desired Compartment.

  3. Enter in the IDCS Acount URL:

<ID_DOMAIN_URL>

  1. Enter the required OAuth information.

  2. Select the Private Endpoint created previously.

  3. Enter the External Vault URL:

    <EXTERNAL_VAULT_URL>

External Key Management parameters

  1. Click Create Vault.

  2. Wait until the External Vault reaches the Active state.

The OCI External Key Management service is a paid resource. An OCI account with the required service availability and billing configuration is required to create the External Vault.
